Privacy notice (POPIA).
This page is maintained by NextStep to answer common questions about how learner and parent data is handled. It is not an independent certification.
What we collect
When you register we collect name, mobile, email, province, school and grade. As you use NextStep you may add subject marks, career interests and application records.
Why we collect it
Purely to power the learner's pathway: calculate APS, match qualifications and bursaries, and track applications. We do not sell personal data.
Under-18 learners
Learners under 18 must confirm parental consent during registration. A parent or guardian can request a copy or deletion at any time.
Your POPIA rights
- Access the data we hold on you.
- Request correction or deletion.
- Withdraw consent at any time (this will end your NextStep account).
